How to Send Your Artwork for Embroidery or Print

Please follow these guidelines carefully to ensure we can process your order smoothly:

For Embroidery Designs:

• Artwork Requirements:

  • Send a clear image with simple outlines — similar to a line drawing.

  • Do not worry about removing the background; it's not necessary.

  • Avoid complex images with many colors, gradients, or tiny details — embroidery cannot replicate fine print-like precision.

  • Max embroidery size is 5 inches tall and 7 inch wide. Anything larger or overly complex should be printed instead.

• Not Accepted for Embroidery:

  • Detailed illustrations, high color complexity, gradients, or fine text.

  • Images that are too detailed to be converted into stitch format (we’ll let you know if your design can’t be digitized).

• Alternative for Complex Images:

  • You may send a simplified outline of a complex design, which we can embroider.

  • Otherwise, please choose print as your decoration method.

For Printed Designs:

• File Requirements:

  • Submit a high-quality image at the exact size you want it printed.

    • Example: If you want a 15" back print, the file should be sized at 15 inches.

  • Remove any background unless you want it printed too.

  • Low-resolution files will result in poor-quality prints.

Sending Your Files:

• Email your files directly to: info@customstudio.ca

• Please include:

  • Your order name/number

  • Your full name

  • Any relevant notes or instructions (placement and size) 

If we have doubts about your file, we’ll send a follow-up email.
However, it is your responsibility to send the correct and final artwork.

Important Notes:

• We only offer a preview once your order is placed and work has started.

  • If you'd like to confirm the design before we begin, select the “Verify My Design” option at checkout.

• We do not provide graphic design services.

  • You must send a ready-to-use file, or:

    • Use tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, etc.

    • Provide a vector file or digitized embroidery file if you already have one.

• Graphic design and embroidery digitizing are outsourced.
  We specialize in apparel decoration, not design creation.
